Schools are always important when purchasing a home. Even for the buyer who does not have
children. Parents with children will pay
attention to school ratings and often design their home search to focus on certain
schools. To be sure their children
receive a strong education, studies show buyers will pay more for a home to be in the right
district.
The National Association of Realtors recently shared a recent Redfin study using MLS databases and have discovered
that buyers paid, on average, an additional $50 per square foot for homes within
certain school districts during the period of May 1 to July 31, 2013.
