Watching the national news we often hear about the recovery
of the real estate market and that many large markets across the country have
fully recovered and are now in multiple offer situations. While the Moore County Real Estate market has
lagged behind in that recovery it seems it may be knocking on our door.
When comparing single
family home and horse farm sales from 2011 through 2013 there was a significant
increase in home sales. 45%! Total sales for 2011 were 952, 2012 were 1073
and 2013 gave us 1380 closed home sales.
Understanding the real estate market has serious impact on
getting your home sold! Positioning your
home in the market goes hand in hand with the absorption rate. The rate of absorption is determined by the
number of homes that are selling versus the number of homes on the market. The absorption rate varies significantly by
price point. A well positioned listing
becomes a sold listing!
